In addition to my day job of working as a professional designer, I find time to speak at industry conferences and events. I’m experienced and comfortable giving solo presentations or participating on panels.
I’ve spoken at several major web conferences, including South By Southwest Interactive, Future of Web Design, and Webmaster Jam Session, as well as smaller, local events like Refresh Seattle. Lately I’ve been speaking a lot about typography on the web, as well as on my view of the new “layers” of web development. I’ve also got thoughts on bringing print design techniques to the web, the mobile web, online journalism, content management, and web development using Django — so if you’re looking for a speaker at your next event, let’s talk.
To give you an idea of what my talks are like, here's me talking about typography at Webmaster Jam Session in Dallas, September, 2007 (60MB MP3, follow along with the slides.).
