They don’t know yet. I’ve heard both that they’re not here yet from one AT&T employee and that they’re here, but we can’t open them yet to see how many we have,” from another. One of them hinted that he was doubt they had more than 25 — but cautioned it was pure speculation.
I think we’re about #13 in line. I’m just hoping everyone doesn’t have familes showing up around 6pm — because people can buy more than one, if they have their family here.
That’s the sort of runaround I got at target in the run-up to the Wii. When the truth was revealed (release day) it turned out I was fed utter bullshit by at least three different employees.
I came back a few days later and heard some lady giving some guy a lot of grief about the “stories” they spun. I usually hate annoying customers like that, but this time I thought he deserved it, because he was one of the guys to hand out false info.
My plan: I drive past an AT&T store on the way home, and will hit it at about 5:45. If there’s a line, I’ll probably give up. If not (or if it’s short) i’ll probably have to stop. My hope is that the close proximity of the Apple Store means people overlook the AT&T option.
