Home office

As I’m working for Blue Flavor from Lawrence for a few weeks before I move, I took the time to clean up and organize my desk.

OK, so… * iMac: Primary porn storage * MacBook: Portable porn * iPod: Porn on a plane * iPhone: Fast porn when on wifi, slow porn when on EDGE So… where’s the computer you use for actual work?

Ohhh, it looks like you’re where I want to be - iMac as primary machine, MacBook for email, IM, etc. Nice!

Is that two Mac Minis ‘under’ the iMac? If yes - why two? ;) And (this is going to sound bad) but I actually like the desk too…it’s better than what I have at the moment and it’s the sort of thing I need. :s Matt: Yeah - I want the same setup too! :)

@Matt Brett: Yeah, when I’m at home, I’ll probably use the iMac as the main machine for design works, thanks the the bigger screen, and use the MacBook for communication and such. When I actually move the Seattle, I’ll be using the MacBook for everything in the Blue Flavor office, but I’ll have a larger external monitor to attach to it. @Matt Robin: No, they’re not Mac minis. They’re Mac mini-styled external hard drives. :) I had a Mac mini, but in the process of downsizing for the move, gave it to my sister and brother in law this past weekend. And yeah, I love my desks. They’re Anthro Carts. Kind of old now, but I still really like them.

Back @Jeff: Dude! Congratulations! That is excellent news. Damn, those pesky Blue Flavors are amassing quite an army. Just made the move to Seattle myself 6 months ago. Once you’re settled, let me know and I’ll take you out for an honorary cup of Seattle coffee ;)

@nate: haha. Nice one. :) But seriously, when you add a keyboard, mouse, and monitor they take up just as much space as many other computer! :) @Matthew: Thanks! I’ll definitely hit you up when I arrive!

I’ve noticed you have 2 keyboards and a pair of mouses. Are you familiar with this application? - synergy2.sourceforge.net/ It lets you share 1 computer keyboard and mouse over a LAN/WAN and even can copy/paste text through the computers. I’m using it with my iMac and my Windows notebook and it works great.

You have to bring your own equipment? Cheapskates :) Seriously though, how does Blue Flavor handle insurance? I know at a previous employer, if I used my own laptop at work it was not covered under their policy. So, if the laptop got stolen, broken or caught on fire (you never know) I was on my own. Something to think about in case you haven’t.

I like it but this treckstore (?!) external hd isn’t really mac-like…i would hide it or paint it white ;)
