Andy Clarke was kind enough to feature my personal site in his “Inspiration” chapter of Transcending CSS. I got my copy tonight, and after a 30-minute skimming of it, I can say with no uncertainly that this is a phenomonal book.
Whereas our Pro CSS Techniques is more targeted at the web professional who hasn’t explored CSS to it’s fullest potential, Andy’s book is aimed squarely at the group of serious, passionate web designers who live, eat, and breathe design, interaction, grids, typography, and the like. It’s a design book first and CSS book second. It looks really, really great. The full color pages are almost lickable.
Great work, Malarkey, and thanks so much for mentioning me site. I couldn’t be more honored.

don’t mean to nit-pick, but do you want to say “likeable” or “lickable”. I sincerely hope it’s the latter mainly because I get these great mental images002 // Jeff Croft // 11.29.2006 // 8:02 PM
I meant lickable. :)003 // And all that Malarkey // 11.30.2006 // 1:10 AM
No licking please, it makes the ink run, your tongue black and stops girls wanting to kiss you! :)004 // nateklaiber // 12.02.2006 // 8:13 PM
So after seeing this photo, I checked out a copy of this at our local bookstore. I was in awe at the quality of this book. Ordering from amazon ASAP - this book is definitely different than the other CSS books I have read. Andy did an incredible job with this book - from beginning to end. My wife was even impressed with the layout and quality of the book. Oh, and I also flipped through Pro CSS Techniques, but didn’t want to spoil too much since my copy should be here next week. I’ve got some good readin for the next few weeks.005 // jathedar // 01.05.2007 // 7:43 PM
