Authentic Jobs now as a publicly-available API! I’ve been beta testing this for a while (it’s how I’m showing job related to the content of my blog entries on each entry’s page), and it works great. So, if you’ve got a clever idea for how you could repurpose the job, company, and geographic information at AJ, go register for a key and get to coding!

The API is a great idea for Authentic Jobs. One thing I don’t quite understand is why a prominent link back to Authentic Jobs is absolutely required by the terms of use.

You’re syndicating their content, surely they are already winning if you’re sending visitors to their jobs anyway?

If you’re “sending visitors to their jobs anyway,” I would presume that counts as a “link back to Authentic Jobs.” But, I’m not really sure.

Correct, as Jeff put it. If you’re already linking back to us in one way or another, you’re good.

Peter, the point of that rule is to make sure users of your site/app know that the data they’re seeing comes from Authentic Jobs. This is primarily to prevent wholesale reskinning/repacking or misrepresentation of the AJ data, and ultimately to add credibility to your site/app.
